Supreme Court saves Kaun Banega Crorepati from Rs 1 crore penalty for 'unfair trade practice'

The Supreme Court has termed as "bad in law" the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) verdict, directing Star India (P) Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd to pay punitive damages of Rs 1 crore for alleged "unfair trade practice" in a contest for the "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC).
