Netflix, Hotstar censorship supported by 57% of Indians, says survey

OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar and Voot have been at the receiving end of criticism for use of strong language, violence, nudity on their platform. There has been a growing demand for censorship on OTT platforms. According to a new survey by YouGov, 57 percent of Indians support the cause of censorship of OTT platforms. While 27 percent of those surveyed think censorship is not required for these platforms, 16 percent are unsure of their opinion about the topic.
