Legendary Bengali filmmaker Mrinal Sen passes away at 95

Legendary Bengali filmmaker, who is comtemprorary to Satyajit Ray and Ritwik Ghatakto, Mrinal Sen has died in Kolkata at an age of 95. Padmabhushan awardee Mrinal often considered to be one of the greatest ambassadors of Bengali parallel cinema on the global stage. The filmmaker breathed his last at his home in Bhawanipur, Kolkata on Sunday.
